Every member of our local company is a thought leader who has made significant contributions to our society. Each one brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization. We wouldn’t be in businesses for 35 years without our team.
Kyle Grell
President
Kyle started in the roofing industry at a young age as he grew up working for a family-owned roofing company. In 2014, Kyle started his own roofing business based out of Fort Dodge, Iowa that specializes in Commercial and Residential roof replacement. In 2020, there was a major storm that damaged many roofs in Iowa which led him to meet Richard Hoffman, the founding member of Precision Roofing. After a year of working together on joint projects, Kyle was awarded the opportunity to purchase Precision Roofing. Kyle now resides in Missouri and travels back and forth to Iowa so that he can run both roofing companies. When he does find time for himself, he enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.
Autumn Grell
President's Assistant
Autumn is Kyle’s wife and has worked alongside him since the beginning. She oversees both office locations and assists Kyle with all the behind-the-scenes tasks that come with roof bids and replacements. Fun fact, after starting their roofing business in 2014, the first roof they signed was installed by Kyle & Autumn themselves! During her free time, Autumn loves to spend time with her children.
Richard Hoffman
Founding Member
Rich started Precision Roofing in 1987 and is working with Kyle during the transition period. Since starting and growing Precision Roofing to the success it is now, Rich has had his hand in many other business ventures. He is a go-getter who loves to sell roofs, create long-term business relationships, and is always a positive person to be around. Rich’s newest passion is antique motorcycles & vintage related items.
David Johnson
Production Manager
David came to Precision Roofing 25 years ago after working at Bendix. As the Production Manager, David is responsible for project reviews, material purchasing, equipment rentals, coordinating crew workers, and keeping everyone informed concerning potential weather storm threats. David enjoys time at the lake when he’s not in the office.
Donnie Crist
Commercial Sales
Donnie has been with Precision Roofing since 2017 after owning & operating his own business. Donnie is adept in commercial & residential roof repairs and replacements, as well as roof coatings. He is an avid bass fisherman enjoying the time spent outdoors.
Ian Stockhurst
Residential Sales
Ian began working for Precision Roofing as a storm chaser in 2016. This means Ian kept track of all storm work in the continental United States, traveling to those damaged cities, hiring crews, working side by side with insurance adjusters to complete both residential roof replacements & repairs. Ian is a licensed independent adjuster and currently focusing his attention on the four-state residential region while training for drone licensure. Ian enjoys all things to do with dirt bikes.
Brandan Hildebrand
Residential Sales
Braden joined precision roofing in July 2024. He graduated from John Brown University, earning a music degree. Braden has joined the sales team after working in the church for 6 years, and when he’s not up on your roof, you can find him spending time with his wife and two kids, building guitars, and making shoes. He loves all things fitness, sports, and food, and is excited to dive headfirst into roofing.
Jonathan McAfee
Residential Sales
Jonathan has joined our Residential Sales Team. He comes to Precision Roofing with experience in all aspects of construction including roofing sales and running a painting business. He has a background of 23 years in education. He has been a Principal, Athletic Director, and Special Education teacher. He has his master's in educational leadership. He enjoys different hobbies being outdoors, fishing, kayaking, and physical fitness.
Jaymie Scassellati
Accounting Manager
For 29 years, Jaymie has been the lubricant that keeps everything and everyone moving at Precision Roofing. Jaymie assists the owner & salesmen with proposal preparations and submissions. She keeps the bills paid and the lights on. If there are hurdles to be cleared with insurance providers, certificates, licensing, application for payments, and payroll, Jaymie has the wisdom to figure out the best course of action. She is the proud Grandmother of five precious little ones.
Shannon Oxley
Customer Care & Office Admin
Shannon came onboard with Precision Roofing in 2014 and is a jack of all things when it comes to assisting Precision’s employees and customers. She has supernatural skills in locating project files, answering the phones, invoicing customers, and can be reliably found at the Lee’s Summit home office. Shannon is an avid horseman, trail riding many of Missouri’s national forests, as well as a proud Nana of five precious grandchildren.
Jeff Claunch
Commercial Roofing Supervisor
Jeff came onboard with Precision Roofing just after Rich began the business. Jeff’s 30+ years of construction & roofing experience have helped complete many projects. Jeff retired in 2023 and now works for us part-time. He has transitioned from multimillion-dollar projects to creating model boats and tanks, which are works of art.
Ponci Armendariz
Commercial & Residential Roofing Supervisor
In 2001, Precision Roofing hired Ponci and he has become an integral employee in making sure any and everything gets completed. From a simple single shingle repair to complete tear-offs, Ponci is knowledgeable to oversee or do the work. When Ponci isn’t working he enjoys fishing & golfing.
Kyle Harrelson
Commercial Roofing Supervisor
Kyle joined the Precision Roofing team in 2024 and brings with him 16 years' experience in the roofing profession. He trained for 7 years in sheet metal and 9 years in commercial flat roofing systems. He also worked for the Union 2 years and gain valuable experience to round out his commercial roofing knowledge. He is a team leader and keeps his crews on-task as well as working safely. He has been involved in multimillion-dollar roof installations, small single-family roofs, and everything in between. From big to small, according to Kyle, he can do them all. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his three children surrounded by nature.
Derek Larsen
Commercial Roofing Foreman
Derek grew up in the construction industry. Spending much of his youth assisting his family in various renovation projects. In 2024, he left Lafox, Illinois to embark on his journey with Precision Roofing, bringing his expertise and passion for the field to every project. With a professional background in various building trades spanning over 15 years and previous experience as a supervisor, Derek is well-versed in overseeing jobs from start to finish, ensuring precision and top-notch quality. Beyond work, Derek finds joy in traveling, action sports such as wakeboarding and motocross, and is an avid outdoorsman.
John Hardges
Commercial Roofing Foreman
28 years of Mississippi roofing experience is what John Hardges brought to Precision Roofing the summer of 2024. John calls himself a "water diversion specialist." Why just have a job when you can do what you love? Roofing is what he loves to do, and the views are spectacular. He is a veteran who served our country in the ARMY military forces branch. John is a good ole country boy, who enjoys fishing and spending time with his godson.
Joshua Gonzales
Repair Technician Commercial & Residential
Joining the Precision Roofing team is the young and talented Joshua Gonzales. In 2024 we created a Repair Technician Commercial/Residential position to attend to our repair-only customers. He comes from a family of roofing professionals and began the trade at an early age. From the flattest roof to the steepest peak, Joshua has been trained to repair all types of roofing systems. He also worked 2-years on a military base performing various roofing repairs and small installations. He enjoys cinema and exploring the great outdoor parks with his child.
Audrey Meier
Digital Transformation Architect
As the Digital Transformation Architect, Audrey specializes in making things work better with the latest tech tools. She helps our team embrace digital upgrades and ensures everything runs smoothly. In her free time, she loves to explore the farmers market and art galleries.
Sarah Pepperman
Accountant
Sarah Pepperman joined Precision Roofing in January 2024. After receiving a Business Management & Accounting degree from Devry University in 2012, she began her accounting career. Sarah has already shown herself to be an asset to the accounting team. Outside of work, she enjoys a diversity of things like reading, crafting, puzzles, and is an active member of the Praise Team at Abundant Life BS. Sarah and her husband, reside in Blue Springs, with their daughter, three dogs, and two cats.
