Commercial Roof Supervisor is expected to be on job roof site. The Residential Estimator’s duties revolve primarily around critical thinking and interpersonal communication, though endurance, basic geometry, and persuasive speaking are also crucial competencies. These abilities apply to a wide range of additional responsibilities, including:
Remaining current on industry standards and practices
Self-generating leads via networking, door-knocking, and cold-calling
Climbing and maneuvering atop steep, multi-story roofs
Distinguishing between damages, manufacturer defects, and installation deficiencies
Researching alternative products and roofing materials
Negotiating prices and terms with vendors
Preparing job proposals and cost estimates
Proactively identifying potential production issues
